Community Party at the JCA

The Johnson Center for the Arts, 300 E Walnut Street, Troy, AL

We are planning a variety of family-friendly activities in the arts for you to enjoy for FREE, including a visit from the IAC's ArtSpark program, which is always a BIG HIT! We are also collaborating with talented local artists and young people who have a passion for the arts. You can purchase a limited edition T-shirt from artist Avont Anderson or Jerry Johnson as well as stickers. You can make a canvas bag to store your belongings. Bring your kids to the large bouncy house or to get their face painted downstairs inside where it is cool. View art from Troy University students streetside, or come inside to view our galleries, one with the work of Alabama Fellowship artist Zdenko Krtic and the other full of art by local students grades K-12, including scholarship winners. Go see what our Center Stagers program is all about, by putting on costumes and cheesing for a photo. There is also a large scale artwork that will be a community project facilitated by Avont Anderson. Troyfest is always a treat, we hope that a few more activities will really put it over the top!
