Get ready for an exciting experience in the many art forms that we explore at the Johnson Center: literary, performing, and visual arts. This low-cost summer program is offered in June through support from the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the Chapman Foundation.

Children ages 6-13 are invited to participate in adapting a children's picture book into a performance including theater and dance during our AM sessions (9-12), and expanding upon the theme into the world of storytelling, set design and visual arts during our PM sessions (1-4). These sessions can be taken together or independently, with the option for extended day (8-5).

Sessions are $40 for a week. If you choose a full day, that is an AM and PM session, with extended day option, making it $100 for a week. The JCA will provide snacks, but bring a sack lunch.

Scholarships are available, and a discount for siblings. Please inquire.
